How to Perform
- Stand in front of a sturdy chair or box.
- Place your right foot fully on the surface.
- Drive through your right heel to step up, bringing your left foot to tap the surface.
- Step back down with your left foot first, then your right.
- Complete all reps on one side before switching, or alternate each rep.
Common Mistakes
- Pushing off the trailing foot on the floor rather than driving entirely through the elevated leg.
- Knee of the working leg caving inward during the step.
- Using a surface that is too unstable.
